I would like to thank Ramachandrula Sastry, for his efforts in managing this project all along. He setup the infrastructure needed, created an environment where work on this project could go on along side of may other activities of Indian Institute of Science. I would like to thank Prof. N. J. Rao, Chairman of Department of Management Studies, for his co-operation. Also, I thank Dr. K. Narmadamba, Dr. Kalyani Sahu and Nagendra for educating me on various subjects.
I would like to thank my friend Anitha Gowda, for helping me out on this project. She has a thorough understanding of all the required Unicode standards and Indic linguistics, especially Kannada linguistics.
I do not have many friends. But I am glad that who I have as my friends, have been nothing less than guiding stars for me. They were there for me when ever I needed them, from where ever I was. Some of my friends do not know each other and still each one of them helped me so much, in their own unique ways. Like it was mentioned in one those e-mails floating over the Internet... "God does not give us the freedom to choose our blood relatives, but certainly we can choose our own friends". This has been true with me.
I would also like to thank Trupti Patil, Kunthunath Jain, Harish Nagaraju, Hamsini Ramamurthy, Srikanth Varma, Harsha Swamy, Sudhanva K, Ramachandrula Sastry, Shreekanth Holla (I do not want to use 'and' in this sentence). Friends, each of you helped me so much... some times it might have been easy for you to do things for me and some times not. But what ever you have done, is worth a lot to me. I think each one of you know, in your minds, why I am so grateful to you. All of you have made an impact on my personality. And atleast three of you really have a profound impact on my life... and I am sure, each of you three, are aware in your minds, how. I admire you for what you are, unconditionally.
Any ways, I know you will say, "Hey, there is no 'Thanks' and 'Sorry' in friendships" :-) But right now, how else shall I tell you how much I like you!! :-)
To keep things simple, I have not mentioned few other names that are so dear to me... I know, I will be their game when they catch me next time :-) And I am all for it :-)
I really thank Walter Gamba, I used his Meta Jar Utilities in the Brahmi Word Processor. This is a very good utility. Thanks Walter :-)
There is one name I do not want to miss... Tony Swain. Tony, I have never seen you yet, but I know for quite some time now. I admire you for what you are, from what I know about you. Thanks.
Ok there are apologies too... I apologise to Prabhat Hegde and Joseph Koshy for keeping them waiting, number of times, regarding this project.
Well, life so far has been a roller-coaster ride for me... time has passed so fast... I wished to do few more releases and few more projects... now, I'm not sure if and when I'll be finishing them... I'm now trying to learn to take things as they come... hopefully getting ready to go where life takes me... however I still like to take my life where I want it to go... and I wish to be there for all you, from where ever I am, when you need my help... Strong words eh?? Hope to live it up. Please wish me good luck, I need it... want to collect as much of them as possible.
Yours truly,
Harsha P. Ravnikar
